Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was the youngest of seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Colorado's Castle Rock. She was born while her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. Then, in the latter part of 1990s, she started professional dance and acting with Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. After making her screen debut as a ditzy but good-natured contestant, she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 to September 1992. She had two children, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began when she signed an MGM contract in the late 1940s. The actress was discovered through actress Norma Shearer. In the decade that followed her appearances in many famous films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
