Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for the Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was just six years old. Her first competition was at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. After that, in 1973 and '74 she was the overall junior champion. She won four gold and one silver in her first international competition for seniors that took place in 1975. This was the first time she had competed as a senior. The year was 1976 when she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the entertainment business in her teens. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
