Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing as well as wrestling, before making her first amateur appearance at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd rebounded from her loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record up to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut in professional boxing. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. Aspen ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last match in the organization. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO victory. She maintained her dominance and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the first round and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. The first big fight she fought in was with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd was victorious in by a unanimous decision following some great exchanges between the two fighters received an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was beaten by a majority verdict.
