Katherine Heigl opens up with the world about her "white bubble childhood" and how it has affected her parenting style for her adopted multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that with regards to skin colour the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just how differently society treats them. Meg was asked whether she was treated differently while they were together with their parents or when they went alone. She said, 'Oh, yeah, all the time!' Heigl told parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had made me feel." The actress said that she was upset, but she felt that she had to channel her anger in order to assist the adopted children she has. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. together for thirteen years. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black, in 2009.
